The Blizzard that gave us Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 is dead. Blizzard is promising that there will be six Diablo classes at launch (Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard) as well as regularly introducing new storylines, playable characters and new challenges.Ī release date for Diablo Immortal has not been set, but a beta is expected to launch either later this year or sometime in the early stages of 2019.As a surprise to absolutely no one, Diablo Immortal represents everything that is wrong with Mobile Garbage! I was proud of myself before for deleting my Blizzard account (and chronicling it on my Youtube channel) in protest back when ActivisionBlizzard took the "No freedom for Hong Kong!" stance back in 2014, and before that I hadn't bought anything from them since I cancelled my World of Warcraft account back in February of 2011, and I got rid of my phone early this year, and I am now even happier and more proud of myself! Now sure, people are entitled to take interest on what they please, but this seems like a full Diablo experience, albeit on a mobile platform. Now, it’s one thing to pop your hot takes onto Twitter, but to put this kind of question to a Blizzard representative in front of an auditorium of people, after the team has excitedly announced their new game, is downright disrespectful and disgusting. One fan asked if this announcement was an “out of season April Fool’s joke”. Lets go in game, and talk about it and show what kind of. It was another question though that was really unsettling. Diablo Immortal has shown itself to be completely Pay 2 Win and it is insane how much it costs to actually level your character. The dev then asked the crowd if “none of them had mobiles”. Diablo Immortal: An April Fool’s Joke and The Immortality of Immorality They love what they love and want what they want Blizzard Co-Founder Allen Adham on Diablo fans. The dev responded with the fact that it would only come to mobile only to be faced with a crowd full of boos. One fan asked if the game would come to PC at all or if it were strictly mobile (a great question, albeit delivered with quite a condescending tone). Early reception was bad when it was announced at Blizzcon, going so far as to call it an out of season April Fools joke.
